The short version
- Naturalize doesn't collect any data. There's no account and no server.
- No ads, no analytics and no third-party code in the app.
- What you enter stays on your iPhone, unless you choose to send it somewhere.
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts.
This policy explains how Naturalize handles information. “Naturalize”, “we” and “us” mean the developer of the Naturalize app, which you can reach at hello@ozar.io.
What you enter
To count your days, Naturalize asks for:
- your Resident Since date
- your state, and the date you moved there
- your marriage date, if you're on the 3-year route
- your trips: the dates, the countries and any notes you add
It never asks for your legal name, A-Number, passport number, date of birth or address.
Where it's stored
This information is stored in a file on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection and your passcode. We never receive it. It's included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or computer backups), as with any app's data.
What leaves your iPhone
Nothing, unless you send it. When you export a backup, a PDF, a spreadsheet, a copied list or a shared trip plan, you choose where it goes: Files, Mail, Messages, AirDrop and so on. Those copies are then governed by wherever you put them.
Shared trip plans leave out your citizenship details unless you turn them on.
Purchases
In-app purchases are sold and processed by Apple. The app receives a signed confirmation from Apple that a purchase exists, and nothing about you or your payment.
Reminders and Face ID
Long-trip reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone, and they're off unless you turn them on. Face ID and passcode checks are handled by iOS; Naturalize never sees biometric data.
Diagnostics from Apple
If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics in an aggregated form that doesn't identify you. Naturalize doesn't add anything to them. You can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
If you email us
If you write to hello@ozar.io, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply to you, never for marketing, and we don't share it with anyone. We delete it when it's no longer needed to help you, or sooner if you ask.
You don't need to send personal details for help. If a number looks wrong, the trip dates involved are usually enough.
This website
naturalize.ozar.io sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, web fonts from other companies or third-party scripts. The day counter on the home page runs entirely in your browser; the dates you type are never sent anywhere.
Like any website, the company that hosts it may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for a short time to keep the site secure and working. We don't use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
Your choices
Because your record lives only on your iPhone, you're in control of it:
- See it: everything Naturalize stores is shown in the app.
- Take it with you: Settings › Your Data › Export Backup creates a file you can keep anywhere.
- Delete it: Settings › Your Data › Delete All Data removes everything Naturalize stored. Deleting the app does the same.
We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't use it for targeted advertising. If you've emailed us and want to access or delete that correspondence, write to us and we'll do it.
Children
Naturalize isn't directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Naturalize will never start collecting data from the app without asking you first.
